FINDING FOUNDRIES: INTERACTIVE WALKING TOUR, WITH ARTIST JOHN BAUCHER

A new interactive walking tour which explores the history Riddel’s Warehouse and aspects of the iron industry in Belfast.

This gentle audio-assisted city centre stroll (approx. 1 mile) takes in the buildings of Thomas Jackson, architect of Riddel’s Ironmongery Warehouse, along with the history of the iron industry in Belfast. You’ll be shown cast-iron makers marks and, weather permitting, take rubbings to leave with a lasting memory.

Expect yarns of Victorian “ingenuity, gumption and acumen”.
