Huntly Road

Hearth originally approached the owner of these former mill cottages to see if he would sell them. Because the ground floor is below ground level at the rear he had been advised that the cost of renovation was prohibitive.

However he decided to convert the buildings to his family house using Hearth as architects. Thanks to the conscientious work of experienced contractor John McAleenan the costs were much less than had been predicted, and by knocking the three cottages together the owner got a larger house than he had originally planned.
