When President of the Royal Ulster Academy, artist Colin Davidson realised the potential of Riddel’s Warehouse as a place for showing pictures, and when Fine Point Films made a film of Colin’s Troubles portraits – Hear My Voice – the Warehouse was the obvious place to show them off.
The film was shot in late 2017 and premiered at Queen’s Film Theatre in 2018, when it was introduced by Senator George Mitchell. The voices of people who had lost relatives in the troubles, combined with Colin’s large and detailed portraits, make for a moving experience.
