Forged in Belfast

Hearth Historic Building Trust are delighted to have received an Arts & Heritage grant from Belfast City Council which will be used to create a brand-new theatrical tour of Riddel’s Warehouse in partnership with Bright Umbrella theatre company.

Earmarked for February and March 2026, this innovative production will weave together theatrical performance and interactive storytelling, allowing visitors to engage directly with characters from all walks of Victorian life. Through carefully crafted scenes and participatory moments, audiences will experience first hand the daily bustle of Riddel’s Warehouse while exploring deeper themes of class mobility, sectarian tensions, and industrial innovation.
