Expression of Interest

Hearth Historic Buildings Trust is inviting building contractors with conservation experience to express interest in undertaking miscellaneous minor building works to the listed Riddel’s Warehouse, 87 Ann Street Belfast. Experience of working on National Heritage Lottery Fund projects and with third sector organisations would be advantageous. With thanks to National Lottery players, Hearth, are improving access at the ground floor front section of the building to facilitate meanwhile use of Riddel’s prior to its full restoration at a later date. The works will include flooring, repairs to walls and ceilings, plumbing, heating and electrical works, and construction of a new staircase. This is a contract of approximate value £400k-£600k and of no more than fifteen weeks duration beginning 21st July 2025, with a pre-start meeting week commencing the 30th June 2025.

There will be a two-stage procurement process consisting of Prequalification Questionnaire (PQQ), followed by an Invitation To Tender (ITT) to selected firms. Expressions of Interest (EOI) should be sent to Hearth Historic Buildings Trust by email, info@hearthni.org.uk to be received by 5pm on 7 May 2025. All EOIs received will be acknowledged. EOIs submitted after the deadline will not be considered. The PQQ and information pack will be published on 30 April 2025, with submission of completed PQQs due on 21 May 2025. All completed PQQs received will be acknowledged. PQQs submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
